HISTORY | ANALOGUE TECHNIQUES | SEMANTICS
Since the founding of TIMEstandard LLC (two photon rubidium vapor atomic clocks, www.timestandard.ch) a decade ago - GRAND ANALOG ELECTRICS is a brand owned by TIMEstandard LLC - Pat Micheli, Christian Regnicoli, Muriel Schlatter, Céline Arnold, Sarin Zimmermann, Erika Rohrer, Erich Schwyzer and Larissa Felix have created a wide range of unique products.
GRAND ANALOG ELECTRICS: a no-holds-barred assault on existing approaches and technical solutions combines time-honored craftsmanship with the simplest possible analog technology.
GRAND ANALOG ELECTRICS | swiss physics exnovation: in its simplest interpretation, exnovation is the opposite of innovation. Exnovation is the withdrawal of utilization systems, processes, practices or technologies that have been tested and confirmed but are no longer effective.
GRAND ANALOG ELECTRICS | analogue techniques: analogue techniques encompass technologies and methods that process and transmit information in a continuous form in terms of value and time, in contrast to digital technology, which uses discrete values. Analogue signals can have an infinite number of values, which leads to more lifelike / realistic results.
The product language of GRAND ANALOG ELECTRICS is elitist, sensually abstract, highly symbolic and clearly intended for a target group that understands audiophile technology as a way of life and not as a consumer product. The reference to visual design language – the loudspeaker as architecture – shows that the unit wants to be more than just a sound transducer. GRAND ANALOG ELECTRICS does not appeal to everyone – but it appeals to the right people.
